Happy Valentine’s Day from CRA!!

We hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine’s Day!! We had great fun at Coral Reef today. Be sure to let your loved ones know you care about them today!!

Black History Month

African-American History Month was the brainchild of Carter G. Woodson, and first began as a celebration of Negro History Week in February of 1926. The commemoration became more and more popular, and was eventually extended to encompass the entire month of February in 1976 becoming known as African-American History Month. All Americans are encouraged to participate in recognizing and celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of African-Americans, not just in February, but all year long.

CRA loves to Share!! But Please don’t share your illness

Please remember that it is flu season and the only way to stop the spread of illness is to keep your child home if they are ill. If your child shows any symptoms of not feeling well, for the health and safety of the other students and our teachers please do NOT bring your child to school. We also encourage hand washing. Hand washing is essential to the stop of spread germs. Coral Reef Academy also has hand sanitizer pumps for the parents located throughout the center and we encourage you to use it. Thank you for your support in this matter.

Helping Out in the Community

Helping Out in the Community:

During the Month of February, CRA will be taking in donations for a local shelter that gives back to the people in our community that are less fortunate:  The Daily Bread. This center is in desperate need. Below is a list of suggested items to donate.

*Towels *blankets * *paper products (napkins, toilet paper, etc)*

*Toiletries (toothbrushes, deodorant, tooth paste, soap, feminine products, etc) – Travel sized or full sized.

Also products that don’t have to be brand new are Men’s & Women’s T-shirts, jeans, socks.  No children’s clothes please.

Magazines Used for Learning – Please Donate

If you have any old magazines laying around the house why not donate them to CRA instead of throwing them away. Magazines are great to use for all kinds of literacy and/or art activities!
